Delete your data

You can delete your BGRC online data and account at any time. The fastest way is inside the game. If you can't open the game anymore, email us.

1Delete in the game

Open BGRC and press 🌐 Online in the top bar.
Next to your name, press Delete my online data.
Press Yes, delete everything.

Deletion happens right away. The next time you open the Online window you start as a new guest. Worlds saved on your device are not touched; delete them in the game, clear the app's storage, or uninstall the app.

2Request deletion without the game

Email contact@mechitall.com with the subject "Delete my BGRC data" and include anything that helps us find your data: your player name, the names of kingdoms or genomes you shared, the weeks you submitted challenge scores, or the Google account email you linked on the website. We may ask you to confirm the data is yours, and we'll complete the deletion within 30 days.

3What gets deleted

Your account (anonymous or Google-linked)
Your profile and player name
All your cloud saves
Genomes you shared to the gene pool
Your published kingdom
Your weekly-challenge scores and their replays
Your list of multiplayer rooms

4What may be kept

Multiplayer rooms you are still a member of keep your player name and your kingdom in the shared world until you leave the room or its last member leaves (then the whole room is deleted). Leave your rooms first to remove those too.
Copies in other players' worlds: a genome or kingdom that another player already brought into their world is part of their world and stays there.
Backups held by Google may contain deleted data for a short time before they're overwritten.
