These terms are an agreement between you and MechItAll LLC ("we," "us") about playing BGRC. By installing or playing the game you accept them. If you don't agree, please don't play.
In short: the game is free, play fair, pick a decent name, what you share is public, and the game is provided as is.
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age for online services in your country). If you're under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms.
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and play BGRC for free, for your own entertainment, and to share the official download links with friends. The game, its code and art belong to us. Don't sell, modify and redistribute, or pass off the game as your own, except where the law allows it. The game includes open-source components under their own licenses (for example fflate, MIT license).
The online features create an anonymous account for you automatically; on the website you can link it to a Google account. You're responsible for activity on your account. Player names, kingdom names and bot names must not be offensive, hateful, sexual, impersonate someone else, or include personal information such as phone numbers. We may change or remove names and shared items that break these rules.
Genomes, kingdoms and challenge scores you share are public. You let us store and show them, and let other players use them in their own worlds (for example as immigrants or rival kingdoms), for as long as they are shared. You can delete them at any time, but copies already in other players' worlds stay there.
Don't cheat on the weekly challenge (scores can be replayed and verified), use modified versions of the game or tools to interfere with other players' worlds, rooms or our servers, overload the online services, or harass other players. We may remove scores, shared items or rooms, or suspend accounts that break these rules.
We may update, change or remove features, rules or online services, and may stop operating them. Rule changes can make older saves or challenge entries behave differently. If the online services shut down we'll give reasonable notice in the game; the offline game keeps working.
You can stop playing and delete your online data at any time (🌐 Online → Delete my online data). We may suspend or end your access to the online features if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms. Sections 4, 8 and 9 continue after these terms end.
The game is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind to the extent the law allows. We don't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, that saves can never be lost, or that online features will always be available. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, and because the game is free our total liability to you is limited to US$50. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be waived.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. If you're a consumer in the EU or UK, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence and may bring claims there.
We may update these terms; we'll change the date above and tell you in the game if the change is significant. Continuing to play after a change means you accept it.
